Verity Reeve – Director of LBV Immo
How long have you worked in estate agency?
I have worked in estate agency for 4 years – I moved to France a few months after the LBV Group decided to start their estate agency so have been involved almost since the very beginning of that business.
What do you love about your job?
Selling property in France, we are also selling a dream and I love meeting and speaking to people for whom LBV Immo can help make that dream a reality.
What is a typical day in work like for you?
Each day is different as some days you may be speaking to people at the very beginning of their “journey” on other days you may book viewings for people about to arrive here or have meetings with the local mayor to introduce new owners and help people integrate into the French system. However, all days end the same… an apero after work!
Best thing about the area you work in?
The beautiful countryside and laid back lifestyle of Brittany: the fact that living in France is like turning the clock back to a more leisurely way of life which is not so commercial as the one I left.
Favourite part of the software?
The capacity to react to applicant requirements & send details of new properties quickly, and of course my account manager Gareth!
How do you spend your time out of work?
My 18-month old daughter takes up most of my time, alongside integrating into the local French community.
Favourite holiday destination?
Provence in the south of France – absolutely beautiful and just a (long) car ride away for us.
I love action movies unlike my husband who enjoys romcoms, which is the wrong way around isn’t it? Die Hard & The Long Kiss Goodnight are 2 of my favourites.
What is the funniest thing to happen to you recently?
I had a knock on my door the other day whilst waiting for a friend to arrive & I had only just come out of the shower so I quickly wrapped a towel around me & answered it. To my horror, it was the local French plumber who had come to test the water for us instead of my friend! I think he appreciated the view he got and we are both still laughing about it.
